Rolling through the rain

Thought that I was treading in a ride between the last storm and the expected next one. Too, today had the start of the elite men’s and women’s UCI XCO mountain bike series and the first of the UCI World Tour Ardennes Classics, the Amstel Gold race.

I blitzed through downtown over to the trail in record time. I was getting wound up and after a minute the rain started. Took it with aplomb and kept drilling it. Narrowly missed a dog, but did not miss a beat. This was my best ride of the year.

Now watching some women who can really scoot on a bike. Watched the first half of the XCO and am now catching the road race. Fortunately all the women are dry!
